We have a very large hatch of cicadas in Hot Springs County, Thermopolis. They are blackish with no ???? orange coloration. Can you identify or would a photo help?

I would to know the keys for identifying the species in Colorado or Wyoming, although I only know of cicadas found in or around the Green River in Wyoming. Can you help

Most cicadas are either Okanagana or Playtypedia — they’re usually black to gray with touches of orange and beige. The key differentiator between them is Okanagana sing and Playtypedia make a percussive noise with their wings.
