Try soaking a cotton ball with sugar water.

I have a cicada about the same size as that, he won’t put his tube thingy into the juicey branch,
I have a bottle of tree sap I think my cicadas would like, Should I feed it to the cicada with a water thing that picks sap and is a tube?
