  1. Jaime says:

In 2013, my son and I experienced this brood of cicada as we were traveling the back roads near Aurora, NV and elsewhere along the way during that week. We awoke from our camp that morning inundated with the buzz of these amazing creatures. We spent the better part of an hour studying them and then daring each other to pluck one off of a tree branch and eat it live. Neither he or myself took the challenge but we had lots of fun with it.
