\nJust to remind everyone that the cicadas will be in Maryland this year (2004), emerging sometime in May and lasting through June.I do not recall the last time they were here (in 1987) because I was living in Florida…but I was here the time before (in 1970) and I can remember them being ALL OVER the place.I confess that I am a little nervous about this invasion, and would consider leaving for a month, but my son is graduating this year…and of course it is in May and of course the ceremony is outdoors (rain or shine) ARGGGHHH!!!
