This is excellent information if you plan to start a collection. <\/p>\n<p>Over the years <a href=\"\/cicadas\/roy-troutman\/#post-197\">Roy Troutman<\/a> has supplied Cicada Mania with many excellent macro photos of cicadas. Fans of macro photography will also appreciate <a href=\"\/cicadas\/superb-tibicen-photos-from-todd-quinn\/\">these photos by Todd Quinn<\/a>, and <a href=\"\/cicadas\/bush-cicada-tibicen-dorsata\/\">Vic Fazio&#8217;s Tibicen dorsatus<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And just for the heck of it, here&#8217;s a list of insect ID websites: <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bugguide.net\/node\/view\/63\">Bug Guide<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.insectidentification.org\/\">Insect Identification<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whatsthatbug.com\/\">What&#8217;s that Bug<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Normally I can get the ID of a cicada fairly quickly, thanks to folks like Gerry and <a href=\"\/cicadas\/category\/paul-krombholz\/\">Paul Krombholz<\/a>.
