I attended <a href=\"http:\/\/inside.msj.edu\/academics\/faculty\/kritskg\/\">Gene Kritsky&#8217;s<\/a> talk at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lcfpd.org\/html_lc\/cicadas\/index.html\">Lake County Forest Preserve<\/a>.  After 11 years of Cicada Mania, it was great to finally meet Gene and see one of his speeches. I also got to meet Cicada Mania contributor <a href=\"\/cicadas\/roy-troutman\/#post-197\">Roy Troutman<\/a> for the first time, as well as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mechaworx.com\/Cicada\/masscic1.asp\">Gerry Bunker<\/a> who runs the information rich <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mechaworx.com\/Cicada\/masscic1.asp\">Massachusetts Cicadas website<\/a>, and Joe Green, who contributes to the Entomology &#8211; Cicadidae Yahoo! Group (rip).<\/p>\n<p>I also spent a lot of the day with a film team from Fuji TV, the Japanese ABC affiliate. They&#8217;re filming the emergence for Japanese TV. Very cool!<\/p>\n<p>I was able to take a couple good photos, and some video.
