Cicadas belonging to the genus Tibicen<\/strong> are emerging in warmer areas of the United States. Joe Green found a Tibicen tibicen (possibly Tibicen tibicen australis<\/strong> [see Insect Singers site<\/a> for song and description]) in Florida. Tibicen superbus<\/strong> [image<\/a>] are emerging in Southern states as well. <\/p>\n
