Its chorus sounds like hissing static. It is smaller than <a href=\"\/cicadas\/magicicada-neotredecim-marshall-and-cooley-2000\/\">M. neotredecim<\/a> and <a href=\"\/cicadas\/magicicada-tredecim-walsh-and-riley-1868\/\">M. tredecim<\/a>.
