I just saw a Cicada in Oshawa (alive) on the walk of my apartment building. Is this normal for the area?
I grew up in Venezuela and they were a constant source of fun and annoyment.

What is the very loud insect that goes “eh-eh-eh ee-ee-ee eh-eh-eh”? I heard it so often in the late summers growing up in southwestern Connecticut.

    1. Dan says:

Could be a katydid if you hear them at night.

  3. GENE WARD says:

I saw a photo today, supposedly a cicadia, but it had white rings around its eyes; looked like an alien.
