Contest: Find the Blue-eyed Cicada

Okay, every one has heard about the reward for the rare blue-eyed cicada. Well, it turns out that it was a rumor. However, we want to see a cicada with blue eyes real bad -- bad enough to have a blue-eyed cicada contest. So, start looking and start sending us your evidence. May the best picture, video or corpse win!

The Prizes:

1. First Prize: Shirt
2. Second Prize: Mug
3. Third Prize: Mug
4. Special Merit Prize for the first person to send in a picture of a blue-eyed cicada: This Mug

The Rules:

1. Evidence of your blue-eyed cicada must be received by midnight on June 30th, 2004.
2. You can submit digital photos, old fashioned non-digital photographs, video, or an actual cicada (preserved in some way, not just rotting in an envelope).
3. We keep anything you send us. Forever. So make a copy.
4. The cicada must be a Periodical / 17-year / Magicicada.
5. All decisions are final.
6. The contest is open to anyone living in lower 48 states.

Hints:

1. No Photoshop chicanery!
2. The better the evidence, the better your chances are of winning.
