Edward Austin sent us this photo of a Tibicen from Fulton County Ohio. If someone knows the species, please post it in the comments.

  1. This one looks like T. linnei. The golden-brown markings just behind the mesonotum on the abdomen
    is indicative of the species. Its too obscure to be T. pruinosa which is anothe common species in Ohio.
    It would be nice to have a lateral view then we could have a look at the forward edge of the front forewing.
    An extreme curvature there is also indicative of the species. It is also a male.
