A cicada photo from South Korea
The photo below was taken by Jon Allen in Yeouido park in Seoul in South Korea. Click the image for a huge version. Anyone know what it is?
I should to change the title of this website to “Dan’s House - O - Huge Bug Pictures”.

This is a great shot of a Cryptotympana species, probably C.takasagona.

This is a female Cryptotympana atrata.
Tibia of the mid-leg is characteristic in color.
The upper half of tibia is orange and the lower black in color.
C. takasagona does not live in S. Korea, but in Taiwan.
