Thanks for posting the photos, Roy and Vince. Today, for the first time ever, I saw a cicada emerging from its nymph shell, like in one of your photos, Roy. I brought it over to a tree (it was on a brick building) and watched it slowly climb. As it was doing so the dwarfed green wings began to slowly grow. Quite a sight!

umm….. can you let the public know what the name of the cicada is. It would be very helpful to students such as myself.
