
Here’s a cute image for you: a cicada and its cousin, the leafhopper, in the same picture. If you look closely, you’ll see they look alike. Cicadas and leafhoppers belong to the same superfamily called Cicadoidea. Cicadas belong to the family Cicadidae, and leafhoppers belong to the family Cicadellidae.
Nice photo. You can see the resemblance between the two species. I didn’t know they were the same superfamily. I imagine the leafhoppers are quieter. Size difference is like a dog to an elephant.

i love cicadas and those kind live near me . i catch them every year. They are sooo buitiful! I also make houses for them.

I figured it looked like a cicada when I first found out it was in the same super family
